Things to see and do
CROIX LAC SAINT-ANDÉOL
Known as the ‘Christianised pagan lake’, Lake Saint-Andéol is one of the most powerful symbols of the Aubrac region. Legend has it that Saint Andéol set about Christianising the local people, who were in the habit of throwing food and clothes into the lake. High above, a 19th-century cross stands sentinel, offering those who love beautiful views the chance to admire the expanse of the Aubrac.

ÉGLISE SAINTE-CROIX-ET-SAINT-PIERRE
Built of large granite blocks, the Church of Sainte-Croix-et-Saint-Pierre is characterised by a simple Romanesque style. Its portal features a carved tympanum and arches. Inside, the walls are built in opus incertum granite, and only the vaults and pilasters stand out due to their large-block construction.

LAC DE BORN
Perched at an altitude of 1,260 metres, Lake Born is the largest of the glacial lakes in the Aubrac. Covering 151 ha, this unspoilt site is home to a fragile ecosystem of peat bogs and wetlands. An unmissable stop on the ‘Lake Route’, it offers spectacular views and visitors are advised to take care on its marshy shores.
