Centre d'art image/imatge

3 rue de Billère, 64300 Orthez

Located in the heart of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the town of Orthez, the image/imatge art centre is dedicated to promoting and showcasing contemporary visual art. Housed in a new 250m² space since late 2013, the art centre stages exhibitions throughout the year, accompanied by events and outreach activities designed to engage a wide audience. Its support for contemporary art involves working with artists – both emerging and established – through the production of artworks and publications, or by hosting them in residencies within the region. The team pays particular attention to the quality of the visitor experience and the support provided to audiences, whether they are groups or individual visitors, regardless of their knowledge of art. Guided tours, workshops, talks, lectures and meetings with artists.
