Prieuré Saint-Léonard

All that remains of the vast priory built at the end of the 11th century are the ruins of the church’s chancel. Its carved capitals are a truly remarkable example of the art of Romanesque sculptors. Small apsides surround a semicircular apse. This former priory was inhabited by monks.

Eglise Saint-Gilles

Founded in 1067, in the Romanesque style, listed as a historic monument in 1908. The semicircular north door is said to have been visited by Joan of Arc on her way to Chinon in 1429. An important place of pilgrimage, the central aisle of the nave and the north roof truss in particular were restored in 2024.

Eglise Saint-Maurice

The church, dating from the 15th century, is crowned by a beautiful stone spire adorned with openwork carvings. The octagonal bell tower dates from 1480. The naves, in the Flamboyant Renaissance style, rest on pillars decorated with medallions.
