La Grande Rue

This is the longest street in the village. It forms the boundary between the Upper Quarter, inhabited by nobles, dignitaries, surgeons, apothecaries and wealthy burghers, and the Lower Quarter, the economic centre of the village, organised around the market hall.

Le Gros Mur et la Porte de Lyon

Les goulets

Typical features of Saint-Antoine, the narrow passages are like the traboules of Lyon. They allow residents to move around the village without having to go all the way round it. They are traditionally paved with whole pebbles.

Rue du Milieu ou rue Corsière

This was where the two parts of the town – the upper and lower – met. Notaries, cloth merchants, bakers, shoemakers… all shared this busy street, which was bustling with activity due to its proximity to the markets, the squares and the market hall.
