Beffroi d'Abbeville

Built in 1209 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this belfry is one of the oldest in France. Its 33-metre-high tower has housed the Boucher-de-Perthes Museum since 1954.

Carmel - Maison du patrimoine

Occupied by the Carmelite nuns from the 17th century until the end of the 20th century, the town of Abbeville has purchased the Carmelite convent, thereby offering the people of Abbeville the opportunity to explore this former monastery.

Collégiale Saint Vulfran

The Collegiate Church of Saint Vulfran is a masterpiece of Picardy’s Flamboyant Gothic style. Its remarkable façade, flanked by two towers (complete with watchtowers!), and its nave, built of timber like a ship’s hull, remind us that Abbeville was a major seaport in the Middle Ages. The highlight: 600-year-old altarpieces!

Jardins du Carmel

In 1821, the Carmelite nuns acquired the former Capuchin friars’ convent (17th century) in order to re-establish themselves there following the turbulent period of the Revolution. Extensive work was then carried out to transform the site into a regular Carmelite convent.
