Paun composes or reinterprets traditional Breton tunes, accompanied by a chamber orchestra that bridges the worlds of classical, pop and Celtic music. Paun invites the audience to reconnect with a Celtic heritage linked to the animal kingdom. It is an invitation to enter this space of connection with nature, and to a time when the boundary between animals and humans was far more tenuous: a step aside to immerse oneself in the sensations and thoughts of animals, a presence in the moment with the elements, the earth and its scents. Among the Celts, as in shamanic cultures, animals could speak and were in full possession of their power. The texts written by Enora Molac in Vannetais Breton are based on this perspective. The repertoire also includes two reworked songs, drawn from the French-speaking and Welsh traditions: ‘La blanche biche’ and ‘Le taureau bleu’. Duration: 1 hour. Suitable for all ages Venue to be announced later on arthmael.bzh Performance currently in development. Premiere in summer 2027.
