Performance: “Nocturne (Parade)”

12 Feb

2 Rue Milon, Théâtre municipal, 50200 Coutances

Performance: “Nocturne (Parade)” – Non Nova theatre company – Phia Ménard A fusion of wind and poetry In 2013, we hosted *L’Après-midi d’un Foehn* and *Vortex*, unforgettable performances by Phia Ménard. She returns with *Nocturne (Parade)*, the fourth piece in the *Pièces du vent* cycle. Performer, circus artist, dancer, director… Phia Ménard founded her company in Nantes in 1998 with the guiding principle: we do not invent anything, we simply see it differently – Non nova, sed nove. A promise kept! With this new show, she draws us into a poetic and fantastical ballet of plastic puppets that come to life before our very eyes through the mysterious power of the air. The wind and the music together serve as the breath of life, a joyful flight in a production marked by the mourning of her father. Plunged into darkness – a metaphor for our troubled times – she invites us to discover new meanings and guides us towards the light as the performance unfolds. Masterful! Ages 10 and over / Limited capacity – audience on stage 11 and 12 February at 8.30 pm at the Coutances Municipal Theatre. Booking essential.
