Eglise Saint Amand

Avenue André Aune, 13560 Sénas

CallDirections

Towards the end of the 11th century, the lords of Sénas had three chapels built, including that of Saint-Amand, which was later elevated to the status of a parish church. The bell tower, built in 1306, is distinguished by a spire adorned with rosettes. The frescoes were painted in the 19th century. On the north wall, dating from the early 12th century, is the burial niche of the family of Chevalier and Marquis Charles de Jarentes. The paintings, the baptismal font, the holy water font and the statues underwent meticulous restoration in 2009, as did the entire interior of the church.
