Comedy Theatre – THE INVITATION

13 Mar

Centre culturel L'Échiquier, 14 La Fournière, 85700 Pouzauges

The L’ÉCHIQUIER Cultural Centre embraces a wide range of artistic and cultural expressions. During the 2026–2027 season, let’s make way for the joy of rediscovery and experimentation.

Daniel is a married man who longs for a bit of freedom. To take a breather without feeling guilty, he invents an imaginary friend, Charlie, whom he claims to visit regularly. But when his wife insists on meeting this so-called Charlie… Daniel finds himself caught in his own trap. He hires a stranger – a lost soul, unpredictable and far too at ease – to play the part. Except that Charlie quickly takes the lie upon himself… to the point where everything is turned on its head. A hilarious duo, a thrilling game of manipulation… Ages 12 and over.
