A meeting with Claire Peltier

30 Oct

15 Rue des Fargues, Bibliothèque, 24560 Faux

Claire Peltier will be joining us to share her life story and her book *Beyond the Darkness*. What do you do with what you’ve seen, with what you’ve been through, when words fail you and the world you once knew no longer exists? After ten years at Christie’s in London, Paris and New York, Claire Peltier joined a humanitarian organisation and set off to work in conflict zones. What she found there – the destruction of one human being by another in its most absolute form – plunged her into inner fragmentation, an invisible depression from which she could see no way out. “The search for meaning led me to immerse myself in conflict, war and violence. It was there, beyond the darkness, that I found the deepest humanity and everything that unites us.”
