Orgue de Stiehr-Mockers
104 Rue Principale, 67120 Ergersheim
The fine organ at Saint-Nicolas Church was built by Michel Stiehr and his son-in-law, Xavery Mockers, in 1818. It features a rear-facing positive and 23 stops. Altered by Franz Kriesse in 1898, this instrument was fitted with Romantic stops, which replaced the original ones. In 1976–1977, Paul Adam restored the organ to its original condition. The neoclassical case follows the traditional design of Silbermann cases. It was listed as a historic monument in 1973.
