Magic Show – Connection Failed

Chapeau Claque Cabaret, 2 Rue Jean Bouveri, 71130 Gueugnon

Three friends combine their talents to blur the line between illusion and the mind. What happens when three artists from very different worlds decide to pool their talents over the course of a single evening? With *Connexion Impossible*, Pierrafeu, David Acedo and Baptiste have created a two-act show in which magic, mentalism, grand illusions, hypnosis and humour interplay. Their friendship and rapport form the common thread of an ever-evolving experience, moving from the visible to the invisible. In the first act, Pierrafeu and David Acedo play with the audience’s perceptions and certainties. Objects appear, disappear or change places; thoughts seem to be read; and grand illusions come to life just a few metres from the audience. Their energy, complementary personalities and flair for showmanship give this first part a pace that is as spectacular as it is warm and welcoming. Then the experience takes on a whole new dimension. In the second act, Baptiste explores the fascinating realm of the mind through interactive hypnosis that is funny and always kind-hearted. Volunteers find themselves at the centre of unexpected situations, whilst the entire audience discovers just how far the imagination can transform our perception of reality. More than just a series of acts, *Connexion Impossible* is a journey designed to surprise, make you laugh and sow doubt. Three performers, three approaches to the impossible and a shared desire: to make you look at what you thought you knew in a different light. When illusion meets hypnosis, are you still sure you can trust your own senses?
