Balade à roulettes : Le lac de Cadarsac

Avenue des Bergères, 33750 Cadarsac

WebsiteDirections

The 17-hectare Cadarsac park, with its 15-hectare lake, is a delight for anglers, walkers and enthusiasts of all kinds of outdoor activities. The lake is a former gravel quarry that was used to supply material for part of the Bordeaux–Périgueux–Clermont-Ferrand motorway. It is a nature reserve where dogs are not permitted. The site is home to several species, both aquatic and avian. A pair of swans nest by the lake’s edge in the warmer months. As a fishing spot, it is not uncommon to witness impressive catches (a 15 kg carp on 5 May 2016) being released back into the water after being weighed and photographed. Les Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, leisurely walks, suitable for pushchairs or small bikes, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in wheelchairs), organised by the Gironde branch of the French Hiking Federation.
