Piche

Le Sew - Morlaix, 39T Quai du Léon, 29600 Morlaix

At the age of 29, Piche has established herself as one of the most distinctive figures on the French music scene. Behind this now iconic name, Mike — her real first name — embraces a hybrid identity that defies labels: “a singer who does drag, not a drag artist who sings”. A nuance that sums up both her artistic ambition and her free-spirited approach to gender. She composes her music with her brother, drawing together on their shared heritage and their differences to create a sound that is both inclusive and incisive. Whether in drag or not, Piche plays with the conventions of masculinity and femininity to better reveal their absurdity, often with humour, always with audacity. Rejecting all barriers, she embodies a generation that champions inclusivity as its goal and self-expression as a political act.
