*Danser Ma ville* is a choreographic work involving around a hundred amateur dancers from Aix-en-Provence, drawing on the choreographic language of Taoufiq Izeddiou’s piece *La Terre en Transe*.

‘Danser Ma ville’ is about giving a voice to all ages and all body types, about laughing and shouting. ‘Danser Ma ville’ is about dancing until you’re exhausted – that is, moving from a political body to a poetic one. Taoufiq Izeddiou, founder of Morocco’s first contemporary dance company, Anania Danses, has built an international career; he established his company in France in 2008 and in Aix-en-Provence in 2013. He explores the links between origin and identity, tradition and modernity, conveying a powerful and generous collective energy. Choreographer: Taoufiq Izeddiou Dancers: Juliette Bouissou, Mohamed Lamqayssi, Chourouk El Mahati, Mariem Bouajaja, Mohamed Chniti, Angela Vanoni Musicians: Boubker Oumouli, Taoufik Abanai, Aziz Lekhaif All participants are amateurs. You can take part in the project! ‘Danser Ma ville’ follows on from three weeks of workshops during which Taoufiq Izeddiou and his dancers will have shared their choreographic material and, together with around a hundred amateur participants, recreated a unique piece. The dance workshops for amateur dancers are free and take place every day from 19 October to 6 November 2026 in preparation for the two performances on 7 and 8 November. Participation is open to anyone over 18 who is motivated, with no prior dance experience required, and who is available to attend the daily workshops regularly.
