Since 1867, four generations have succeeded one another on these renowned vineyards. Beyond its sparkling wines, the DEFRANCE family has long enjoyed the privilege and mastered the art of producing the famous Vin Rosé des Riceys. The estate is primarily planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Christophe Defrance, working alongside his wife Marie-Dominique for some twenty years, and more recently with his daughter Anne-Sophie, has developed viticultural practices to draw out the full potential of their land whilst respecting nature and the terroir (elimination of all inputs: insecticides, anti-botrytis treatments and herbicides).
