Freechti
30 rue de la Grangelot, 71250 Cluny
Freechti offers jewellery, accessories and home décor made from upcycled materials, as well as creative workshops for everyone using second-hand items.
In cooking, a ‘frichti’ is an improvised dish made from whatever you have ‘to hand’, evoking a sense of conviviality and sharing. Freechti was born out of this idea of creating from materials unearthed here and there. All the pieces, crafted in my workshop in Cluny, are made from upcycled materials and encourage a different approach to consumption. As inspiration strikes and the seasons change, I enjoy transforming leather, fabric or even old jewellery into beads to create a variety of jewellery designs (earrings, bracelets, necklaces). I also create accessories (clutch bags, notebooks, purses, etc.) and decorations using paper, fabric or other inspiring materials. You can personalise your creations by choosing your own colours, prints or other details, subject to the materials available – please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can find my creations at the Cluny Tourist Office, at craft markets or online (postage available). Alongside this, I work with organisations and individuals to run creative workshops using second-hand materials, open to all, so that everyone can explore their own creativity.
