Domaine Bargemone

RN 7, 13760 Saint-Cannat

CallWebsiteDirections

Situated in the heart of Provence, Domaine Bargemone enjoys an unspoilt setting. Its organically farmed vineyard covers 120 hectares within the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation. Pierre Einaudi and his team look forward to welcoming you.

The estate’s history dates back to the 13th century, centred around a Templar commandery. This commandery was a place of great importance to the Templars: a complex of buildings used for rest, prayer and military training. The knights were already cultivating vines there. Following the dissolution of the Order of the Knights Templar, the property subsequently belonged to several families of the Provençal nobility. Among those associated with it were the Count of Les Baux and Thomassin Bargemon, after whom the estate is named. In 1968, Jean-Pierre Rozan replanted the vines after they had been decimated by phylloxera, and established the vineyard as we know it today. In September 2019, our family, the Einaudi family, acquired Bargemone with the aim of continuing the work of generations of winegrowers who were part of the family and whom those still living remember with fondness and pride. It is Pierre Einaudi, the grandson and great-grandson of winegrowers, who is now developing the estate, supported by his parents and a whole team of passionate experts. Together, they are breathing new life into the estate through a constant pursuit of excellence and a determination to make Bargemone a true ecosystem, going far beyond organic farming. The aim is to be part of the essential ecological transition whilst offering the pleasure of tasting and sharing some of Provence’s finest wines. Excellence, Sharing, Ecology.
