Eglise Saint-Paul de Frontenac
bourg, 33760 Frontenac
This church was donated to the chapter of Saint-Emilion by Raymond III, Bishop of Bazas, around 1145 or 1146. The Romanesque nave is the oldest part of the building, along with the west portal and the apse, which features columns with historiated capitals and a cornice resting on modillions. The building has been altered over time, as evidenced by the Flamboyant-style windows in the nave and the chancel, which was rebuilt in the 16th century. On the north side, two windows and three buttresses, identical to those on the south wall, were added at the end of the 19th century. The church is listed in the supplementary register of Historic Monuments.
