Association pour l'Environnement des Layes

Purpose of the association

To provide a framework for reflection, consultation, expression and action for the residents of Les Layes, Les Baudoins and other hamlets, isolated dwellings or the surrounding plateau, agricultural, natural and forested areas that make up the former commune of Les Layes – which has been part of the commune of Les Essarts-Le-Roi since 1984 – and who are concerned about safeguarding their living environment and protecting their common interests; to act as a driving force for reflection and proposals towards a comprehensive vision—encompassing the environment and heritage—in the short, medium and long term regarding land-use planning for the core area, the former commune of Les Layes, as well as the entire commune of Les Essarts-Le-Roi and its surroundings, namely the Rambouillet region, to which Les Essarts-Le-Roi has belonged to since 1 January 2017, as well as neighbouring municipalities, communities of municipalities and urban communities whose projects could have a direct or indirect impact on daily life, the environment and heritage on the Layes plateau and its surroundings
