Association Nant Sauvage

Purpose of the association

To preserve and promote the quality of the watercourses and catchment areas in the Peisey Nancroix valley, and in particular to preserve the unspoilt character of the Nant Bénin, its biodiversity, its flow, and its scenic and tourist value; to protect our watercourses, which, just like the mountain pastures, forests, glaciers, footpaths, villages and chapels, are a symbol of our valley and one of the key factors in its appeal to tourists in both summer and winter; to raise awareness of the Nant Bénin; to inform the public about the existence of a small-scale hydroelectric power station project and our campaign against it; to ensure our actions are in keeping with the spirit that led to the creation of the Vanoise National Park in 1963
