Les Paniers de la Grange

Purpose of the association

To promote environmental education, develop local life, encourage the social and solidarity economy and, through its participatory approach, offer an alternative to the ‘every man for himself’ mentality; to raise awareness of environmental issues relating to agriculture and our immediate surroundings; to encourage a reduction in travel and packaging; to support and sustain local agriculture; which respects the environment and the health of ‘consum’actors’, to offer products that complement those available from local shops and craftspeople in La Grigonnais, and to offer buyers a fair price through a buying group; the association ‘Les Paniers de la Grange’ brings together members around the choice of partnerships with several producers who work according to a small-scale farming approach: sustainable, locally sourced, socially equitable and environmentally sound; For specific products (citrus fruits, olive oil), producers from further afield may be approached, selected according to the aforementioned social and environmental criteria.
