Purpose of the association

To pass on, promote and preserve the vitality of ‘art’ musical heritage, ranging from early music to contemporary compositions; with a view to cultural democratisation and thus to countering the elitist image often associated with these musical repertoires, reaching out to a wide variety of audiences; with a view to ensuring regional accessibility, the association’s local roots aim to open up our rural area to repertoires that are under-represented there in terms of performance and cultural activities; with a view to partnership, the association supports a strong local public policy promoting broad awareness of musical activities for young people, including those of the Symphony Orchestra and DEMOS, led by the Kreiz Breizh School of Music, Dance and Theatre (EMDTKB); we also aim to build bridges with other musical organisations in the region to enrich and encourage creativity within both traditional and contemporary repertoires
